One of my childhood influences that is unworldly enough to have inspired Run Detective was “Red Dwarf” a British science fiction comedy show created by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. It had everything, and one of my friends at school used to repeat entire parts of the episodes we watched... No idea how he remembered it!
